Announcement: Attention to Detail

What is key to artists in our work is “attention to detail.” These are the sparks that awaken the imagination–pushes the brush, the pen, opens up new understandings.
To have the time to explore our creative process is a way to kindle those flickers of soul. On March 7-8, I will be facilitating such a workshop–a retreat for women writers at Maris Stella Retreat and Conference Center in Harvey Cedars, NJ.
If you are interested check out the attached brochure. The retreat will be begin with a multimedia poetry presentation, followed by an open reading. The next day we will be writing and sharing new works. Stretch. Stretch back. Stretch forward. Breathe deeply. Walk on the Jersey shore just before spring.

I THINK I am interested in this retreat. I see that there will be a poetry presentation so I am wondering if my fiction will be welcome at this retreat, and if it will be critiqued. The rooms: are they single ?

All forms of writing are welcome. This is about your writing processes/methods/inspirations and creating new work with the energy of others who follow this same path. Our process for “critique” will be reading, reflecting, and responding to each other’s work.
Maris Stella has a number of options for accomodations, but most are in houses with a number of large bedrooms. Please check with the staff at Maris Stella with your questions.
