Letters Home
Images include letters from Ireland and Philadelphia covering 1905 to 1943. Photos are of artist’s father as a young boy in sailor suit and as a grown man on leave from the navy. Other photos include artist’s grandmother, uncles, and godparents. Letter from Ireland had shamrocks enclosed.
Collage was in the Juried Annual Art Show at the Art Alliance of Monmouth County in November, 2006.
Coming to Newark: Ironbound
In December 2006 show at the Art Alliance of Monmouth County, Red Bank, NJ.
This collage includes an 1870 hand drawn map of the Ironbound neighborhood of Newark, NJ, the lake at Branch Brook Park and a quote from the poem “Carry it on” used for the 35th Anniversary of the Ironbound Community Corporation in 2004.
